SIOUX CITY | Dawn Marie Evans, 51, of Rochester, Minn., formerly of Sioux City, passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at her home, due to complications from a brain aneurysm.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home, in Rochester, with the Rev. Paul Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Rochester. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.

Dawn was born July 4, 1961, in Austin, Minn., the daughter of Richard and Nancy (Clark) Evans. She graduated from Sioux City East High School in 1979. She attended the University of South Dakota and graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in aeronautical engineering. She later obtained a master's of business administration.

She worked for various departments within Boeing. At the time of her death, she was the director of program management at the Integrated Defense Systems Department.

First and foremost, her daughter, Malia, was the love of her life and meant the world to her. Dawn was known as a hardworking, career-driven woman who was everyone's friend.

Survivors include her daughter, Malia, of Wildwood, Mo.; her mother, Nancy Evans of Rochester, and a sister, Renee (Ray) Noreen and their son, Tyler, all of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard; and her grandparents.
