East High Class of 1979 40th Reunion!!!

Hello Class of 1979! It’s hard to believe, but it has been 40 years since we have graced the halls of East High School! How can that be, since we are still so young? But, believe it or not, it is time for our 40th Class Reunion, and we have a FUN weekend planned! Your Reunion Committee’s goal was to keep everything very informal and affordable, and to include all classmates in all events!
You can sign up and pay for most activities right here on our class website. You should also be able to see which other classmates have registered to attend. Please contact those classmates that you keep in touch with, and those you haven’t seen in years and encourage them to come!
Please note that the deadline to register for golf, the bus tour, wine tasting and/or Saturday night dinner is June 30.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Friday, July 19th
1:00 PM – Floyd Golf Course – 2810 Ordway Avenue – Off Glenn Avenue
Nine-hole Best Shot – for golfers of all skill levels-we’ll draw for foursomes! We'll have pin prizes and some nice raffle prizes.
YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO BE A GOLFER--All Classmates are invited to come out to the course to cheer on our golfers! Grab a cold beverage and enjoy the afternoon! Carts will be available to rent at a nominal fee if you would like to just ride around the course.
Group photo will be taken and will be available for purchase.
Cost: $22 for golf and cart-paid at course
6:30 PM– 11:00 PM - Doxx Warehouse Bar – 1219 5th Street – Downtown Sioux City
Registration starts at 6:30. Jerry’s (Morningside) Pizza will be delivered at 7:30
Happy Hour from 7:00 PM-10:00 PM – Buy one beer or well drink, get one free at the bar (excludes top shelf & specials)
There may be a live band playing…will update when we find out.
Raffle for prizes!
Special photo area with a group photo taken at 8:00 PM– Will be available for purchase
Cost: Free-will offering. Proceeds go to new Classmate Memorial Fund (funeral flowers/plant) and reunion costs

10:00 AM – Guided Tour of East High School—Meet in Commons –come see all the changes!!! Cost: FREE
10:45 AM– Class Photo in front of the school – Will be available for purchase.
2:30 PM– 4:30 PM– Wine-Tasting at Oscar Carl Vineyard- 1473 Buchanan Avenue – East of Menards/old Kmart off Hwy 20
Enjoy this beautiful NEW Morningside vineyard owned by EHS ’77 graduates Roy & Melanie Olsen! Taste Rose, Moscato, and a dry red wine while enjoying appetizers and touring this stunning facility. Transportation is on your own, and you can come and go as you choose between 2:30 & 4:30. HURRY-We must have 20 people sign up by June 30 to hold Wine-Tasting event.
Cost: $15 per person
6:30 PM – 11:00 PM--Dinner/Cash Bar at Green Valley Golf Course,4300 Donner Ave, Off Hwy 75 S
7:15 PM– Memorial/Program/ Drawing for Raffle Winners 7:30 PM– Prime Rib/Chicken Buffet Dinner (Vegetarian plates on request-reserve in advance) 8:15 PM– Class photo, available for purchase
